[Edit: Justin pointed out they all have the same green backpacks- they are not goverment issued. :) I think they give them those so that the bus driver knows which kids to pick up.]. This is some random street art I came across one day. It was actually an advertisement, but it was still pretty cool to watch him paint it on the ground. A few ...

I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier...: March 2009
http://prupke.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier. Sunday, March 8, 2009. I'm apparently a Starcraft nut. I started a new school term last week, which means I have about 90 new names to learn. At the beginning of a term I start each class going around the room and trying to name every student a few times, and by Friday I was able to get most of them. Each term has been easier than the last. . This is Seoul tower, with a man flying- some strange artwork I think. Peter, Amy, and I by Seoul tower. This used to look lik...

I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier...: February 2009
http://prupke.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. I had the last week of January off, and James flew down to visit for the week. We did a bunch of day trips in Seoul. It was a fun week. This is a picture of us in Insadong (I think) by a Korean temple. There are a lot of these in Seoul. These are some shots from our boat cruise on the Han river. This is a cool statue symbolizing the efforts to bring the two Koreas back together. I'm trying my best, but James doesn't seem to care so much.

I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier. Friday, September 19, 2008. Life in Seoul so far. I've been in Korea for almost 3 weeks now. It's time to put up a few pictures. This is my apartment. It's a little more furnished now that I've been here for a few weeks, but I'm still looking to get a few more things. It's not that big, but I'm okay with it. I don't spend that much time at home anyway. This is my view from my window on the 11th floor. This is the view from the 15th floor (where Peter lives) at night.

I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier...: November 2008
http://prupke.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. This post will include a bunch of random pictures I have been meaning to put up but they didn't really fit into the theme of my other posts. This picture is from my trip to Sokcho (by Seoraksan National Park, on the east cost of South Korea) a few weeks ago. The sea creatures you see here are only a tiny fraction of the amount we saw while walking around the town- there were tens of thousands of them. I have always loved tigers. Since I d...
