Good News in the Wilderness. Sermons and Reflections on the Episcopal Church. Welcomed Back into Holy Space, a Holy Place. May 9, 2016 by preacher1. Lent II: Mark 8:31-38. If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it. Are we Christians crazy? Yet if we had been paying clos...

My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. Why does Jesus use this metaphor about a vine? Jesus wants us to understand what it means to be a Christ-follower. Jesus says that God is the vine-grower. The gardener. Jesus is the true the authentic, the. Him, remain part of him, abide. Him We branch...

Good News in the Wilderness. Sermons and Reflections on the Episcopal Church. Archive for October, 2014. How to Rejoice In a World Without Joy. On October 12, 2014 Leave a Comment. Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, Rejoice! Because Paul calls them by name (he rarely names people with whom he disagrees) and speaks warmly of their work for the gospel. Can they practice their Christian beliefs not because of, but in spite of challenges and worries? Just as critical a question is this one: can we, he...

I honestly love him with my whole heart. And he's totally a mommy's cat. He loves me too. Amazing! I now love cats! All You Can Eat.
