Trials of a Casual War gamer. Saturday, 30 April 2016. Got the Terrain Bug Again! After my Amera Plastics terrain I subscribed to the channel that helped me paint them. It's Lukes Affordable Paint Service. That's the Facebook link he is on YouTube also. He aims at finding cheap but good alternatives to painting and terrain making. On one video he had found a cheap water effect from Poundland! After the filler I sanded down a lot of the edges making it a touch smoother. Then it was into painting! Next u...

http://trialsofacasualwargamer.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html
Trials of a Casual War gamer. Wednesday, 25 January 2017. A few blog posts ago I mentioned while at a model shop in Wales I had bought a church from the excellent Amera Plastics. 160; After finishing my airbourne force for bolt action I have started to build the church. The church was simple to put together requiring a bit of cutting but nothing major and stuck together great with poly cement. The assembled church (the green stuff is down to my poor cutting than the product lol). Carved with a pen.

Trials of a Casual War gamer: August 2016
http://trialsofacasualwargamer.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
Trials of a Casual War gamer. Saturday, 27 August 2016. Last night me and the wife popped over to our friends for games night. All about smaller quicker games this time. First up was a game called Alpaca pace paca. The aim of the game is to have the best looking Alpaca with the longest neck but no dirt or you lose points. You start of with small Alpaca and every turn you can take 2 cards (without showing anyone) discarding one and adding the other to your Alpaca or take the whole discard pile. Not a lot ...

Trials of a Casual War gamer. Saturday, 19 November 2016. Bolt Action Mid/Late War Infantry. Throughout the week I've been working on British infantry box set. The British Airbourne units I already own were solid models so required no assembly. However this box sets contains options for many varieties of soldiers. Obviously being new to bolt action and didn't really know what to aim for and there are a lot of sprues! My officer and 2 body guards with SMGs. No in game effect but I like it anyway. Great fu...
