LIFE IN THE LAND OF "L"

The "L" is not for loser, although sometimes, OK fine you caught me..LOTS of times I am one. The "L" isn't even for love but there is plenty of it to go around. The "L" is for Leukemia and the journey that I am taking in order to reach the promise land called "remission". This blog is a way for me to express myself in all the rampant emotions that come along with having your life flipped upside down with one diagnosis. So come on...you know you wanna share in this

LIFE IN THE LAND OF "L": Be Careful What You Wish For.....

http://lifeinthelandofl.blogspot.com/2011/07/be-careful-what-you-wish-for.html

LIFE IN THE LAND OF "L". Thursday, July 28, 2011. Be Careful What You Wish For. I remember thinking how nice that sounded without thinking about the fact that you needed to be sick or having surgery to be in the hospital. So I went home and that night I laid in bed looking out the window at the clear night sky above and made a wish. "I wish that I could go to the hospital". Life went on and I changed from child to preteen to unruly teen to teenage mother and with time and reality I forgot about the wish ...

LIFE IN THE LAND OF "L". Monday, February 28, 2011. The dollars and sense of it. Well this week it seems he's run himself down and ended up with a bit of exhaustion and the flu. It's a broke down system. I would say it's hard to believe but I'm living it every day. I am grateful that there is a program available like the o...

In the South we boil'em, deep fry'em and serve'em up hot so this is the perfect place for my hot mess of a Southern Fried Life! Saturday, May 15, 2010. Things to consider when choosing the contractor for demolition services. Equipment Choose the company with the latest, modern equipment. Equipment and tools are important as the staff that will perform the job, and before you hire the company, ask them about the machines they use for demolition services. Insurance This is the thing that must be on your checklist, because in demolition jobs, there are many things that can go wrong, which is why proper insurance is needed. October 13, 2014.

Life in the Land of Lemurs

Life in the Land of Lemurs. Peace Corps Volunteer. 27 months. Madagascar. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. People always say that Peace Corps is like a roller coaster- really high highs, really low lows. I have eighty-five days left as of today, and I know that I'm going to try to enjoy each one of them to the fullest. Saturday, March 3, 2012. 8220;I like this photo becaus...

Life in the land of Os. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Migrating Painted Lady Butterflies. Painted Lady Butterfly on Yellow Cone-flower. At least a dozen Painted Lady Butterflies feeding. I was thrilled to be blessed with a visit from dozens of these sweet little butterflies as they passed though last week. Painted Ladies seem downright social. Yellow Cone-flowers provide endless joy to these tiny butterflies. Each day I watch them go, as they leave to make their awesome trek to Mexico along with the Monarchs.

Life in the Land of the Rising Sun

Thursday, July 18, 2013. As I walked home from work last week, I listened to my iPod on shuffle. An eclectic taste in music combined with a 60 gig listening device results in a musical cache almost too diverse and vast to navigate. When I find myself unable to make a musical choice to match my mood, I put the 8000 songs on shuffle. My iPod has been living on shuffle the past few weeks. I feel this is a musical manifestation of my emotions lately. On the other hand, I am feeling melancholy. The feeling I ...
