http://resplendentisle.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Resplendent Island - Serendip. Saturday, May 27, 2006. The lake at Goy. Ola national park to the west of Ampara. Motorbike, I went for a swim in the lake, never thinking about crocodiles, found out later they are in the lake! There are supposed to be lots of elephants here but on the other side of the lake, you can hire a canoe and cross, but it looks a long way in the heat. Posted by Ian Johnson @ 9:09 am. Friday, May 19, 2006. Knuckles range and ride! It took nine and a half hours to get here, Ampara.

Resplendent Island - Serendip. Thursday, January 12, 2006. Medical and other stuff. Since being offered and accepting the position in Sri. I have had to have a full medical with my own doctor. I have brought all my vaccinations up to date and had additional ones as recommended by VSO. I will also be getting anti- malarials. I have had a dentist check up and report. I have checked with volunteers in and from Sri. To determine what I need to take. There is a lot to do as I plan to be away for 2 years.
