Oh, Joy! It's Me: July 2011
http://ohjoyitsme.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 22, 2011. Talk Thursday: How many times do you need to experience it before you learn? Not many, I’m a quick study. And the angel on my shoulder is screaming in my right ear, “Liar, liar, pants on fire.” Ah, there is no peace in the world. I began my evening with half a poem and no blog for the week. I now have half a poem, some hefty frustration, and a blog concept born of said hefty frustration. Several days ago, Artgirl. The new girl at Talk Thursday). I typed in my ID and Password and en...

Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life. TT: The Animal Life. . . a prospect. There are those who know. However, there are others who are unrecognizable, even to themselves. Each of us struggle to break the bonds built by that unrecognizability. Anonymity creeps in, swallowing our freedom. Never do we expect it, seldom does it surprise us. Inside, we reach, inquire, and attempt to discover why we are. Man, a machine. Long ago, we were unrestrained, allowed to be. Familiar as it is, we cease to understand. Take ...

Time really is relative. | Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life
https://shinshige.wordpress.com/2012/12/13/time-really-is-relative
Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life. Time really is relative. For a 5 year old, one season accounts for over 5% of his entire life, while for a 38 year old – to feel that same amount of time passage would take nearly one year and nine months. Or, one day in the life of a grown up feels like over two weeks for that 5 year old child. By shinshige on 13 December 2012. One Response to “Time really is relative.”. Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life. Labeling; a reboot. Call, characterize, designate, name, style, tag, term . . . label. Humans are idiots. (See the irony? As an example, Are you homosexual or heterosexual? Is actually a question that is asked of folks. My question to you is, why does it matter? Am I gay or straight? Not at all. I may find a man attractive. Does that make me gay? Again, nope. So what am I? I must be bisexual. Really? If I have feelings of love for a woman, does that mean I am straight?

Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life. 8220;We have the relationship of a married couple, without having the actual marriage and the time to make it work,” was the first line of the letter I found. That line, and the sheer length of the letter was enough to pique my interest enough to shove those pieces of paper into my pocket as I walked into the restaurant. When I approached, I took the letter from my pocket. 8220;What’s that,” Becky asked. 8220;A love letter? From who, you bitch! Becky interjected, “...

Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life. Wrote This Two Years Ago. Never pushed Publish. I believe there is more out there than what they say there is. I do believe they pull the strings and we simply act in accordance. However, I wonder if I can continue to believe one way, and attempt to act another. Can I continue to reject what is? Can I seek to live the life of our society while arguing, not only it’s merits, but it’s existence? I think perhaps not. By shinshige on 18 March 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Epiphany? | Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life
https://shinshige.wordpress.com/2009/07/12/epiphany
Shinshige's Simple Rules of Life. Hmmm This morning, I was doing dishes. No – not loading the dishwasher – but actually doing the dishes, in the kitchen sink, with soap, and a sponge. When all of a suggen – WHAM! I am rarely content. Someone once asked me, as a result of my seemingly perpetual discontent, if I was a “grass is always greener” kind of guy. Since I wrote that post, I DID actually move to California. . . for about 7 weeks. Bah. Came back – and guess what? The epiphany was this: To be most ef...
