Our theme is adventure, so I asked my very favorite adventurer if he would mind coming in and talking about a few of his adventures a little bit. The kids acted like they were meeting a movie star, since they have heard me talk about Josh forever. It to...

Beautiful Things: April 2014
http://beeautifulthings.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 18, 2014. Yeast, Babies, and My Handsome Man. That title pretty much sums up my last few weeks. Here is a random smattering of pictures to illustrate that point. My handsome man, who grew his hair long for me (because I like him looking like Wolverine) and runs with me, even when I don't feel like it. My handsome man, taking this homeownership in stride and fixing the plugged up sink. My handsome man teaching a baby how pinching tools work. A motorcycle sunset, with my handsome man. The yea...

Beautiful Things: November 2013
http://beeautifulthings.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 27, 2013. I started subbing for OPS last October, although with my job at Compass at the time I only subbed a few days a month. Now that I am working part time at UNO and in school again, I have been able to sub a lot more often, usually a couple of times a week. Posted by Emily Hipps. Thursday, November 14, 2013. Her two teacher Aunts couldn't help themselves and got her books. At least she looks quite pleased. For all of my readers not in Nebraska, it has been a simply glorious fall...

Beautiful Things: Colorado
http://beeautifulthings.blogspot.com/2014/07/colorado.html
Monday, July 21, 2014. Backcountry car camping at its finest. Just park on the side of the road and throw up your tent. This was our view from the tent in the morning. A great way to wake up in the mountains. All four peaks sit within an 8 mile loop, and the elevation gain was strenuous to say the least. Especially for two people who had been at 900 feet less than 12 hours previous and were running on 4 hours of sleep and a lot of pop tarts. First summit was Mt. Democrat. As I mentioned (several times) t...
