Karen E. Summerly (. Karen E. Summerly. Pressure for Climate Agreements. At the Copenhagen climate conference that is now in its last days, the USA, among others, is lagging well behind the level of commitment that science says is needed to avoid climate catastrophe. Europe and Japan have made commitments that are much better. If you haven't done so already, please consider signing and passing the word. Thank you. Http:/ www.avaaz.org/en/save copenh. Celebrating the Beauty of Nature. One Wave Among Many. August 3rd, 2015. Taken on 07/25/15 at Trinidad Beach, California. I find ocean waves most beautiful when they are just starting to break and light shows through their crests. This was one very ordinarily beautiful wave on an unexpectedly sunny (though windy) day. (Summer fog is common at Northern California beaches. It was visible offshore on the day this photo was taken.). August 3rd, 2015. One Wave Among Many. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

Karen E. Summerly (. Karen E. Summerly. Democrats Voting Against Clean Air: We're Watching. Yesterday, in the U.S. Senate, four amendments attacking the Clean Air Act each failed to get the required 60 votes to pass. But before these votes could fail, 17 Democrats sided with big polluters and radical Republicans, and cast at least one vote to undermine the Clean Air Act's ability to limit carbon pollution.
