It was very kind of you all and info much appreciated. And please don't worry that your answer means I now have to rewrite a whole chapter and sort out a new timeline for a story. Honestly, don't worry about that! I've also been reading a biography about John Guilgud. It's a vast tome, packed with details but, sadly, fails to hold my attention.
