Sunday, November 8, 2009. The countdown to 3 officially started this weekend with a much anticipated trip to American Girl Place in Dallas. It's something that my mom and I have talked about doing with her since I first found out that I was having a girl. Lil, of course, was in heaven. Jack was pretty much the only boy in the place. He was his usual chill self and didn't seem to mind. She pretended to be embarrassed when the staff came over to sing "Happy Birthday," but we knew better.

Friday, November 11, 2011. An american in dallas. When we first visited. American Girl Place, 5 just seemed so far away. But here we are in the last few days of 4, ya'll. Whew. Lil and her Grammy had been planning this trip for months. The drive from Austin to Dallas was a loooong one. Such excitement. but can you blame her? I love that she's so into it. Choosing that doll was a painstaking process. SO many to pick from. But when she came across this one, the decision was made. Cute How was DisneyWorld?
