Fulton Times: Thanksgiving time
http://fultontimes.blogspot.com/2013/11/thanksgiving-time.html
The life and times of the Fultons as we are and various thoughts on life. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Thanksgiving and no daily blog? I'm missing it. I'm attempting to count my blessings though. Thankfulness doesn't really come naturally, does it? I read Ann Voskamp's 1000 Gifts. This year, instead of hanging the huge yellow paper from the door, I decided to take a cue from Voskamp and look for specific things for which we are thankful each day. It's been difficult, interesting, and enlightening. And put...

The Weinhardts: December 2012
http://theweinhardts.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. It's funny how you can remember specific things from your childhood as if it were yesterday. My memories of Steiner Center Christmases are at least 30 years old, and yet they are so very clear in my mind, right down to the sting of the chlorine in the pool to the smell of coffee brewing in our big gathering room to the taste of Aunt Janet's Saurkraut Balls! What fun to introduce OUR kids to the fun we had at our reunions! Mini-water park for six hours. Oh my! What fun we had!

The Weinhardts: Valentine's Day Soup
http://theweinhardts.blogspot.com/2013/01/valentines-day-soup.html
Thursday, January 24, 2013. I know it's a little early for Valentine's Day, but I had to show you our latest favorite soup BEFORE February 14 so that you can try this at home, too! First, boil a few carrots in your chicken broth until almost tender. They will be easier to work with if they are still a bit firm, and if you cut them into two halves before you put them into the pot (which I didn't do this time, so do as I say and not as I did). Try not to break any hearts! Dish out the Valentine's Day Soup!

Friday, March 16, 2012. Canadians and Their Holidays. Canadians love their holidays! There's pretty much one holiday per month, preferably on a Monday, and if there isn't really an offical one like Christmas or Thanksgiving or Canada Day, why then, there is one that's created just for the fun of it, it seems. August has no official reason to celebrate, but we have August 1st as "Civic Holiday". What's that mean? It just means that we need a day off in August. While the dads worked on computers and the ki...
