Tugba Kop Illustration: March 2013
http://tugbakop.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 17 March 2013. Earlier this week my boss had a clear out of the fabrics she had hoarded over the years and I was assigned the job of packaging them up as remnants for the shop. Ofcourse, I couldn't do this without having first dibs on any fabrics I wanted to add to my personal collection at home. One of these was this lovely sheer mustard fabric-a blouse waiting to be made. And a fabric it became! The blouse is based on a top from my BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook. Links to this post.

Thursday, 25 July 2013. I Love London Markets. Links to this post. Monday, 1 July 2013. As a way of saving a few pennies, I have been doing a little recycling recently. In the hope that I can make something from the fabric. So, i went home and unpicked every single seam as carefully as I possibly could, making sure no fabric goes to waste. I knew that ideally, I wanted to make a summer dress from the fabric-ambitious considering the limitations on fabric! And then used a vintage shirt pattern as a rough ...

Tugba Kop Illustration: January 2012
http://tugbakop.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 January 2012. The start of January has been a bit of a mixed bag, with the sudden death of my gangster kitty Rocky, my birthday and a wonderful trip to Istanbul. Rocky had to be put down after having his ears got severely infected (months after they were removed due to cancer) and being diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was the gangster cat of my neighbourhood, beating up cats, foxes and dogs alike! And I'm happy to report it worked! I am ready to jump back onto the work wagon. Bring it on!

Tuesday, 28 February 2012. Have you seen these wonderful creations by Olympia Le-Tan. They are embroidered and. Appliquéd canvas clutch bags based on classic books! From Moby Dick to One Flew Over The Cuckoos nest, you are sure to find one of your favourites. The canvas fabric stays true to the feel of book cloth, adding to the character of the bag. I love that they have kept the exact size and structure of a hardback book. Image courtesy of Getty Images. Links to this post. Links to this post. Tuesday, ...
