自己紹介に「バイリンガリズム」について研究中と書いてあるのですが、これ、ちょっとわかりにくいかもしれません。 例えば、英語と日本語の両方をぺらぺらとしゃべることのできる人をバイリンガルといいますよね。バイリンガルの「バイ」は「2」という意味ですから、バイリンガリズムは2つ(もしくは2つ以上)の言語と関連した概念です。(マルチリンガリズムと同義で使われることもあります。). バイリンガリズムを日本語にすると「2言語使用」もしくは「2言語主義」となります。つまり、「イズム」には実際的な側面と、「~すべき」というイデオロギー的な側面があるわけです。英語だとこの点がはっきりしません。 僕は、ハワイ社会におけるバイリンガリズム(使用と主義の両側面)に特に関心があります。具体的な言語としては、ハワイの英語(ピジン)、ハワイ語、日本語のことを調べていて、他にもサモア語、タヒチ語、琉球/沖縄語などに関心があります。 ハワイ、ことば、社会をテーマに更新しています。2004年から ハワイでの留学生活. 博士課程修了(Ph.D., Linguistics)。 大阪大学. を経て、現在、 大妻女子大学. 2015c)....
