Sunday, May 18, 2014. I got a question on Tumblr about my Jewel costume; I'm posting the answer here because it's easier for me to format. Without further adieu here's how I made my. Jewel costume AKA the super spandex tube top. 1-2 yds white spandex - enough to wrap around your torso. You may want to source some 'wet look' or metallic spandex - it's more opaque than regular spandex. Try SpandexWorld.com). 1 yd turquoise spandex. A sewing machine with a stretch stitch. craft:g33k: Comic Con 08.... more!
http://craftg33k.blogspot.com/2008/07/comic-con-08-more.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Comic Con 08. more! Pics from me and flickr. Me and Geoff with some random steam punk awesome. This Jayne hat (from Firefly) may have been the most common bit of geek apparel at the con. This one was interesting because it was a knit/crochet hybrid. A much more involved Firefly homage. Kaylee's fancy dress. Baltar with J. Michael Straczynski (creator of B5). Geoff always manages to feel foolish in front of this man. perhaps it is the costumes? Your Six is even better than the ot...

Nona’s Art — The Art of Transformation: July 2008
http://nonasart.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Friday, 25 July 2008. It’s 25 July, and so far I have made art every day this month! Whether making cards welcoming, farewelling, or celebrating work colleagues, magnetic poetry inchies for swaps, or jewelery to benefit the library cats, I have spent part of every day in July making art. It’s been enlivening, gratifying, and FUN! It’s amazing how much time I can find for arting, when I’m truly committed. Oh, I’ve moaned and groaned about how terribly busy I am, and I am! Nona’s Art — The Art of Transformation: New Stencils!
http://nonasart.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-stencils.html
Sunday, 10 May 2009. Yesterday the gales died down a bit, and I grabbed the opportunity to test my new stencils :-D. I only got one sheet sprayed before my fingers iced up, but here it is:. This includes three of Gary Reef’s birds, my newspaper dancer, my chrysanthemum, and my plum blossom. I also tested several new doilies. Haven’t decided what to do with this just yet. 11 May 2009 at 7:27 AM. Great stencilling - I'm also amused as I've done a white crow. :-). 16 May 2009 at 8:09 AM. Check out my shop!
