The Little Bookroom: STUDENT REVIEW: VINNIE'S WAR by David McRobbie
http://littlebookrm.blogspot.com/2011/07/student-review-vinnies-war-by-david.html
The oldest children's bookshop in the world. STUDENT REVIEW: VINNIE'S WAR by David McRobbie. GUEST REVIEWER: KIERAN Yr 7. This was a sad and interesting book to read. I was intrigued by learning about World War II and its effect on children's lives. It gave me a better understanding of the impact of war. I really liked one of the main characters called Dobbs, who stood up for people being bullied and harassed. Very helpful teachers' notes. And some reviews from teachers around Australia here.

Random thoughts, musings and pretty pictures. diary of a year 12. Saturday, May 15, 2010. Glee 1.18 Laryngitis. Rose's Turn. I loved this so much. Chris Colfer did a phenomenal job of it. and it was pretty cool considering I've seen Patti LuPone perform it. Chris clearly had better diction. I've listened to it 8 times already. Crazy awesome. The following scene was amazing too, some great acting from both sides. Mum was crying. I bet you Jane was too. Picture. My picture for once. I'm loving his MJ.

Saturday, February 11, 2012. I've been reading a recent edition of John Holt's book of homeschooling, Teach Your Own. Mostly because I think John Holt is brilliant. I don't, of course, need to be convinced that homeschooling is a good idea, but sometimes it is helpful to be reminded why I'm choosing to keep my children at home instead of sending them away and getting a little peace and quiet! Beyond that, there are a number of practices, by now very common in schools all over the country, which in and of...
