The Stitch Fiddler: ELF ART DOLL
http://thestitchfiddler.blogspot.com/2015/03/elf-trina.html
Monday, March 23, 2015. ELF ART DOLL by Bethann Scott. My inspiration color came to life this week with a small twist, I used a totally different fabric than the original organza that I draped over her shoulder. Much of her costume is needle felted including her Elf hat and slippers. She sits atop a Mushroom that I created. I love the movement and colors. I was going to make a pair of wings, but that will be for the next doll. Elf Doll by Bethann Scott. Elf Art Doll by Bethann Scott The Stitch Fiddler.

Bittersweet Needle and Thread. Bittersweet Needle and Thread. Friday, April 24, 2015. Braided Rug, Garden. This rug I made from several wool skirts and jackets. I loved the red plaid skirt when I saw it and worked the other colors around it. I'm still new at making rugs and don't quite know how much fabric it will take. So this rug measures 3 ft x 2 1/2 ft. What a spring I am having with my garden, or lack of! I think they turned out nicely. I even used the old zippers so that the covers can be removed a...

The Stitch Fiddler: ~VICTORIAN GOWN~
http://thestitchfiddler.blogspot.com/2014/12/my-next-project-victorian-gown.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Back in November I started sewing a Victorian style Gown for a doll I've been working on. I usually do a mock up in muslin but I decided to use a cotton print fabric. One day I hope to start with a sketch. The bodice is lined and the sleeves are being set in. I still find it difficult to sew an "applied costume". The applied costume cuts down on bulk, but I enjoy sewing "proper garments" that are fully lined. Victorian Doll Gown WIP by Bethann Scott. Labels: Art Doll WIP.
