Little Farmstead: DIY {No Sew} Grain Sack Pillow

http://littlefarmstead.blogspot.com/2015/08/diy-no-sew-grain-sack-pillow.html

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. DIY {No Sew} Grain Sack Pillow. How have you been? We just returned yesterday from a family vacation to the lake. In between loads of laundry and getting the kiddos settled back in, I made a quick and easy grain sack pillow for our master bedroom. I think I was having nesting withdrawals. Do you remember when my Mom made us the rustic linen ruffled bedding for my birthday? You can see the full post on that. It is my favorite bedding. Ever. Within the normal range. Or material t...

And, not counting salads that come in a bag, it couldn't be easier! Fresh, sliced strawberries. Pecan Pie" pecans (or glazed pecans). Extra sharp white cheddar cheese (cut into bite-sized pieces). I love summ...

Little Farmstead: What I Love About Farmhouse Style...

http://littlefarmstead.blogspot.com/2015/04/what-i-love-about-farmhouse-style.html

Monday, April 20, 2015. What I Love About Farmhouse Style. There are many reasons I adore farmhouse style (you too? Here are a few reasons why. It's fun to repurpose aged items in unexpected ways. Here, we used an old galvanized chicken waterer as a vase. For easy ways to dry your hydrangeas, click here. Bringing in humble pieces to play up the farmhouse feel, like this old work ladder, is completely acceptable! The ladder provides another layer to the room and helps a flat wall become more interesting.

Little Farmstead: A Beautiful Italian Country Inspired Home

http://littlefarmstead.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-beautiful-italian-country-inspired.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. A Beautiful Italian Country Inspired Home. The other day, my boys and I headed up a long driveway, past a gently rolling hill and a sweet little stable. We felt as if we'd driven right into the Italian countryside. It was like walking through the pages of House Beautiful. We were warmly welcomed in by my sweet friend, Helen, who had invited our Bible Study group over for lunch and swimming for the kids. A charming pinstriped wingback settee looked like it was made for the entryway.

Upcycle Addict: Pretty Little Glass Cabinet

http://www.upcycleaddict.com/2014/11/pretty-little-glass-cabinet.html

Sunday, November 16, 2014. Pretty Little Glass Cabinet. Winter is in full swing already! We went from 80 on one day to 27 the next, that didn't give my body enough of a stair step down to adjust! Okay enough whining. Before the cold snap hit I was able to get this little cabinet finished and listed on CL. I think that it looks so much better with the new legs. It originally had two frosted plastic shelves in the lower portion and the top and lower doors were glued together so it only had two doors in...

Savvy Southern Style: Antiquing In Destin

http://www.savvysouthernstyle.net/2015/08/antiquing-in-destin.html

Helloooooo, I am so glad to be back! Now, I'm not a collector of religious artifacts, but there were plenty and they made me think of Cindy from Edith and Evelyn. Who is a collector. Do you see the price on this piece? That is not in my budget for sure. This French hutch was similar to mine. But not in as good of condition as mine and cost a whole lot more. The doors and drawers wouldn't even shut on it. There were many anduze pots and in many different colors. The green I'm familiar with. We went on thi...

Upcycle Addict: My struggle with CFS or Hypocortisolism or Adrenal Fatigue.... oh my word

http://www.upcycleaddict.com/2015/02/my-struggle-with-cfs-or-hypocortisolism.html

Tuesday, February 24, 2015. My struggle with CFS or Hypocortisolism or Adrenal Fatigue. oh my word. When I heard the words Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Adrenal Fatigue it made me think of someone who is perpetually lazy, someone who is weak and chronically complaining to their doctor that they need a pill to "fix" them. Although this might sound like more of a bureaucratic issue than a real problem, the consequences of ICD-10 are profound. Without an ICD code, doctors cannot claim payment from a patie...

Upcycle Addict: Where has the time gone?

http://www.upcycleaddict.com/2015/05/where-has-time-gone.html

Monday, May 18, 2015. Where has the time gone? In addition, we are in the full swing of tornado season here in Moore, Oklahoma and that alone is a major pain in the ars! Please be patient with me and my little blog. There are things about this home that I love and others. not so much. I would prefer a larger front porch and I'm not crazy about the rounded windows in the office area. I do love the kitchen that is in this home. The utility room is connected to the master closet! Labels: Craftsman style hom...

Friday, August 14, 2015. A Mason Jar Chandelier Makeover. I've been daydreaming about a different chandelier in our dining room. Since the balance in our "chandelier budget" is currently zero, I thought I would experiment. Decided to paint the chandelier a distressed white. I then used a round antique wood distressed frame to add more of a presence to the chandelier. It rests perfectly on the chandelier. (I lucked out! I used the standard (not wide mouth) Ball mason jars. They were a perfect fit! We were...
