Oaktown Farm Report: October 2010

http://littleoaktownfarm.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Telling the story of growing food in our corner of the world. Sunday, October 3, 2010. This is the first apple pie of the season. Technically, these apples did not grow on the Oaktown Farm, BUT they did grow a 1/2 mile from here at Sylvie's house. We'll call that the OTF satellite. Happy Fall to you, wherever you happen to be experiencing it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Click here for good stuff! All the Mother Earth News fit to print. Oaktown Farm Report: May 2010

http://littleoaktownfarm.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Telling the story of growing food in our corner of the world. Sunday, May 23, 2010. It has been crazy windy all weekend, causing yet another non-work bridge to pass without a true feeling of summer. Regardless, I harvested more fava. Beans to make room for tomatoes. I made a salad today with a bit of lettuce from the garden, it was delicious. Ann came over for lunch and we had the greens with brined. Prawns grilled and tossed with garlic/chili oil. And yummy french bread to sop up the goodness. This is t...

Oaktown Farm Report: January 2011

http://littleoaktownfarm.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Telling the story of growing food in our corner of the world. Thursday, January 20, 2011. Like sand through the hourglass. I have not posted to the Farm blog since before George was born. To some, that will come not as a surprise. But I am shocked. And a bit sad. But life does push on! We harvested and cooked up some carrots the night before my surgery and shared the meal with Corry. And buy some six-packs of foxgloves and some chard to plant this weekend. Maybe bok choi. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Oaktown Farm Report: June 2010

http://littleoaktownfarm.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Telling the story of growing food in our corner of the world. Monday, June 14, 2010. We have real California citrus growing here at the Oaktown. Farm We had a scorcher of a day Saturday; hit 92 on the heat meter, and the lemons could not be happier. Combine that with the never ending lettuce crop (those are Kentucky Wonder Beans climbing in the background) and we are having a very fine mid-June romp. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Oaktown Farm Report: July 2010

http://littleoaktownfarm.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Telling the story of growing food in our corner of the world. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Lottie's in love.Lottie's in luuh-uv. They are definitely having a good time, despite my mild need for peace and quiet. Maybe I will volunteer to go grocery shopping this afternoon.:). Sunday, July 25, 2010. Also, I can't quite find the time to just sit in the garden and enjoy it. I am training for an ultramarathon. These are german catchflies, which are my new favorite. They sway in the breeze with a certain majes...

Janis and Jennie's family adventures. Monday, January 18, 2016. January 9th we went to visit Nana and to see and play with her Christmas decorations. Abbingsole: Tall tree

http://abbingsole.blogspot.com/2016/12/tall-tree.html

Janis and Jennie's family adventures. Thursday, December 15, 2016. On Sunday morning we set out to cut down a tree at the same farm where we went last year, and walked out to the rows of balsams with a sled and a saw, but the tallest trees were maybe 6 tall and we have a taller ceiling in our new house! So we ended up buying a precut tree thats probably 8 tall and just right for the spot in front of the window. This last photo is from Monday, which was a snow day, and we put more lights up. Although it i...

http://abbingsole.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html

Janis and Jennie's family adventures. Wednesday, April 27, 2016. After school sometimes, George and Angelou like to play by the six pine trees (not sure who counted), and George climbs up really, really high. Angelou goes higher each day than the previous, but to my relief, doesnt yet venture past where I can reach. Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Then she blew out the candles and served the pie. Monday, August 17, 2015. August 17th and January 1 share more than one similarity, the main one being a new start. I like today better than January 1 because we are focusing on backpacks/fresh haircuts/new clothes/Pinterest signs/cute front door wreaths/school supplies and the focus. On diets. So much more fun! Pictures of newness fill the Internet and it is a sweet sight. Little ones launching out into another year of growing up. This little darling got tubes last month and has been a new child!
