Chapter Two: May 2014
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 29, 2014. Jack at four months:. Wearing size 2 diapers comfortably (we think he's around 14 lbs but we're not sure. And according to my measurements, he's about 24 inches long.). Possibly teething (lots of drool, whining, mouth-grabbing, chewing, and a bit of runny nose. But he could be just being a baby, too). Sleeping through the night still - and napping quite well also. Talking" all the time! We were worried about the 8 hour drive to Denver and the 2 hour flight to Houston, but he did g...

Chapter Two: June 2014
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. We love summer at our house, despite not having air conditioning and having to content ourselves with the swamp cooler and ceiling fan. At 4 1/2 months, Jack weighed in at 13.7 lbs and 25 inches. He is healthy and active and fit, and not too heavy :) Doctor gave us the go-ahead for solid foods, so we've been having a blast getting squashes and cereals and peas all over the place. Jack enjoys baby food but enjoys grabbing the spoon and stuffing the bib in his mouth more. Jack just l...

Chapter Two: July 2015
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Despite the heat, it's been a fun summer so far, and I absolutely love all my time with my little guy. Daddy has been busy working on research as a research assistant to an accounting professor, studying full time for the GMAT, and this week installing a sprinkler system. Here's hoping the GMAT goes well at the end of the month so we can relax a little in August! Soap bubbles in the kitchen - Jack loved it and it entertained him for a full half hour :). Chapter Two: February 2014
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 10, 2014. January 29, 2014. Jen and Jack two nights before delivery. Contractions started Tuesday the 28th, but weren't painful or productive until about 10:30 pm We checked into the hospital at 1:00 am on Wednesday the 29th - six hours before I was scheduled to be induced. I got an epidural, which felt heavenly, and they added a little pitocin and broke my water in the early morning to help get things going. Post-epidural happiness. We even got some sleep. Chapter Two: April 2014
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Welcome to life with a baby! Things like blogging and journal-writing and couponing and emailing and anything else that requires two hands and a computer don't happen as easily as they once did :) We have been up to lots of adventures lately - mostly the baby-related kind. At two months old, we think Jack is about 10.5 lbs (we'll find out tomorrow). He smiles ALL the time! Mainly when you stick out your tongue and go "la la la la la" at him. He loves it. He still loves bath time a...

Chapter Two: Texas Part 2
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2015/04/texas-part-2.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. The second half of our Texas adventure was pretty similar to the first :) Ryan ended up only working on two clients for the duration of the internship - the second group loved him and requested for him to stay on the team. He had a great schedule and only had to work late for the last three weeks of the internship. Jack and I kept busy playing with cousins, trying to help out and be good houseguests, and working on a few projects I had brought down with me. Get Email Updates for o...

Chapter Two: August 2013
http://sommerfeldts.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 27, 2013. We went camping with my dad at Mirror Lake. It rained a lot. but was lots of fun anyway! See rocks, must climb. Awesome drop-off above the lake. Which of course means we must roll boulders off the edge. And toss trees over. If all else fails, we drop rocks on logs to see if they'll break. And then we visit the Provo River Falls. Wednesday, August 7, 2013. On the Guesses tab. We are so excited to welcome this little one into our family! Monday, August 5, 2013. We spent two days i...
