My journey through living kidney donation. Asymp; Leave a comment. So as part of the testing I have to collect all urine for a 24 hour period……twice. Yes, ALL of it. Not only do I have to collect it but it has to be kept cold……….I will leave the rest to your imagination. The logistics are quite challenging when one must go to work. Appointment with “Dr. G”. There will be people who admire your courage(most people I have spoken to about this) and there will be others that think you are crazy. For a myriad of reasons. Remember why you are considering doing this and make the decision that seems right. The first half of the surgery went well and Beansacrifice is being rolled to the recovery room. Over the next few hours, K will still be in surgery to complete the transition.
