Jerry Markison comes from a Liverpool family, but grew up mainly on the Wirral, going to school in Birkenhead. His parents ran a solicitors' firm in Liverpool City Centre. He followed them into the law but prefers to spend his time dreaming up rhymes for words like "Fazakerley". He lives in London with his wife and three littl'uns.
