Liverpool Railway Station: January 2012

http://liverpoolrailstn.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

A photo showing the down platform prior to installation of the concrete ramp in the 1970's. Friday, 20 January 2012. Time is slipping away. We are nearly towards the end of January already. All the best for Australia Day next week. I have found some more pix of the Holsworthy line, in particular, details of the NSWRTM Tour on 16 April 1972 with 1919 and 3075T. This was the last steam train trip on the Branch. 3075T was too heavy for the Georges River Bridge and was detached at Liverpool. In addition, I a...

A photo showing the down platform prior to installation of the concrete ramp in the 1970's. Wednesday, 14 May 2014. I have also been successful in gaining some photos of Liverpool from ebay. I hope you enjoy them. The suburb of Ashcroft was named after EJ Ashcroft. An early photo of Scott Street. It looks like a carnival scene in the early 1900's. A photo showing the down platform prior to installation of the concrete ramp in the 1970's. Thursday, 17 May 2012. I didnt know Liverpool was such an interesting place! A photo showing the down platform prior to installation of the concrete ramp in the 1970's. Friday, 12 October 2012. Well I thought it would be a good time to present some new information. Here are a sample of some of the plans of the McDonald Truss Road Bridge, that I have been able to obtain from the RTA today,. It is similar in style to the bridges at Galston, Junction and McKanes, that still exist. Here are some early photos of the bridge,. And the bridge overlooking Liverpool Railway Station,. The o...

Club Room and Recreation. Welcome to Liverpool Ramblers. Liverpool Ramblers is one of the largest walking groups in the country. We arrange around 300 walks each year, ranging from short to long, from low-level strolls to mountain scrambling. We believe that Liverpool is probably the best urban base in the country for walking. We are within 90 minutes by road of Snowdonia, Lake District, Peak District and Yorkshire Dales. Being outdoors and walking in the countryside. Socialising and making new friends.

End of 2017 Update. Posted by Ian Millard. Yes, it’s been quite a while since the last update, but I have been busy! I have pretty much concentrated on scenery work from Chilcott’s Ck through to Kankool, including shaping of scenery foam, applying scenery materials around the bridge and installing the front fascia board.
