Impatiens from Fitkens were slow to start but look pretty good now. Might have planted them a bit late. Back bed needs to have irises divided and 3 or 4 lilies moved out to the lily bed. Wednesday, December 07, 2011. Friday night, I made a bunch of Mexican food. 1 Black bean, chorizo and cheese empanadas. I got this recipe from an ad for Mexico in a Bon Appetit magazine. It called for packaged pie crust but I had crescent roll dough in a can and used that which made for them being more flaky but still delish. Basically, brown chorizo, saute onions, add can of black beans, some cheese, stuff, bake. 2 Squash quesadillas from this recipe. These were yummy, especially with the tomatillo sauce.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. It's been hectic. You can read the business blog here. But I am still maintaining my busy life. That magnolia tree picture posted below was of a short-lived event. By Sunday, all the blossoms were down and I raked them up. Mowed once in the back already, after raking up all that pine tree detritus. Uncovered many perennial sprouts and have been to the yard waste several times. Ginger and the Snaps played during a Welders break at Howard's on March 10. Comments were gracious.
