The end is in sight | Hannah McKenna LTU

Professional side of student life. The end is in sight. Louis, a friend on placement, and I have been conducting interviews and filming this week to add to our projects we are leads on. As mentioned on my 6. February post I love filming, I have found a passion for it and so being ‘let loose’ with the cameras has been amazing (even if some of the shots look rubbish). Fingers crossed all goes well for Trinity Vision this weekend! Trinity Vision, week 4. 8220;That’s a wrap”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

setting up and media production company | #MFC4322 jordan

Setting up and media production company. November 24, 2014. In the ‘setting up and media Production Company’ talk I went to for Enterprise and Employability week Simon Horniblow presented us with his business. He told us what it would be like to open your own media production company, I found this talk very interesting and helpful. Don’t wait until you finish university’ I think this is a very good piece of advice as employers don’t want just a degree they want experience as well. Enter your comment here.

Report deadline day | Hannah McKenna LTU
https://hannahemmckenna.wordpress.com/2014/12/09/report-deadline-day
Professional side of student life. I’ve done it. I’ve finally submitted my ‘self- reflective report’ after working on it on and off for three weeks. I had to prove read it a couple of times as I kept finding mistakes I had made and not corrected, but I am very happy with that piece of work. University is now finished for Semester one of Level 5, how scary, it’s flying by, and I will shortly be home for Christmas for a couple of days after one or two more essays are handed in. Week 1 of placement. All thi...

“That’s a wrap” | Hannah McKenna LTU
https://hannahemmckenna.wordpress.com/2015/02/27/thats-a-wrap
Professional side of student life. 8220;That’s a wrap”. It’s been the longest, yet quickest 6 weeks I have ever had at university. But I must say, I’ve absolutely loved my time at Trinity Vision and totally recommend it to any students who have the opportunity to apply. This last week has been pretty hectic, having worked the weekend on two separate shoots, deadlines approaching and all running around to get things done. I work well under pressure and feel I created some really good pieces of work! Notif...

Trinity Vision, week 4 | Hannah McKenna LTU
https://hannahemmckenna.wordpress.com/2015/02/13/trinity-vision-week-4
Professional side of student life. Trinity Vision, week 4. This week has been a strange one. I have spent a lot of time recently editing work together on multiple projects and creating sets, however I am now being introduced to interview question writing, ringing clients to be filmed and all round organising a project alongside Ken and Ally (two bosses). The workshop I attended in E&E week meant I wasn’t so scared of the phone (although the first voicemail I left was complete garbage! The end is in sight.

Half way there | Hannah McKenna LTU

Professional side of student life. The first 3 weeks have flown by, so much work has been done and I’ve realised what I’d love to do in the future. Indie Writers Festival, to be held in university on 21. Once I prefect camera skills I truly believe I’ll be good enough one day to be behind one all the time. Although, I know I have to keep my options open, I can’t focus on just one element and I need not be flexible. Something placement has taught me and I’m glad of the experience. Trinity Vision, week 4.

Week 1 of placement | Hannah McKenna LTU
https://hannahemmckenna.wordpress.com/2015/01/23/week-1-of-placement
Professional side of student life. Week 1 of placement. The first week of placement is over. In the end I had nothing to worry about. I was so nervous to start thinking ‘I’m going to be the only one that doesn’t know anything. I’ll be the one they always get annoyed at for asking silly questions’ I had it completely wrong. I’m loving Trinity Vision so far! I’ve been introduced to cameras, editing software and television itself. I’ve made friends, with peers and the staff. Trinity Vision; Week 2 update.
