So I went all the way up to the Pig and Whistle last week at 1AM, fully prepared to pay the owner of the pub to keep the place open until 3 (on a Wednesday) to watch Canada kick Finland’s ass. No such luck. The game was only televised on ESPN 2 and of course, they only get regular ESPN here! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Family Pics - 2013.

A Road Less Travelled. Whoever said it was a small world, never tried to see it all. Subscribe in a reader. Tuesday, July 06, 2004. Don't drink and fly. Cape town, south africa. So after barely making my flight out of Vancouver thanks to traffic and my genetic disposition to pushing the clock, I finally made it onto the plane an determined never to be late for another flight. Finally, someone asked me what time my flight left and I was too drunk to care (or panic for that matter). Fortunately, this g...

Getting there is half the fun: Some photos from the final days in Oz
http://gettingthereishalfthefun.blogspot.com/2007/03/some-photos-from-final-days-in-oz.html
Getting there is half the fun. Monday, March 05, 2007. Some photos from the final days in Oz. Dinner with the family at the Indian place in Sunshine. Always good. Do you think I look Australian? We went for a bike ride alone the 'river' behind Greta's place to the Lerderderg State Forest. (pronounced lededugh). Nice meandering country roads alongside farms and paddocks. There were even "no diving" signs hinting at the wetter past. Back at home saying goodbye to Ruby and Red. Posted by Evan at 2:11 PM.

A Road Less Travelled. Whoever said it was a small world, never tried to see it all. Subscribe in a reader. Thursday, July 08, 2004. Cape town, south africa. I’ve also seen a lot of the region in my first week. I’ve been to the Cape of Good Hope, the South-western most point on the African continent, seen penguins on the beach, and survived my first ride in a mini-bus taxi… more to come about that later. Oh ya, it’s 23 degrees and sunny. I love African winter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Greta, Tom and I are hiking the South Coast Track with 3 other mountaineering club members. We're taking a bush plane in, which is cool since I've never been on one! See you on the flip side. Getting there is half the fun. Monday, February 05, 2007. Back from the South-Wet Coast. I'm glad to say that we started as a group of 6 and finished as a group of 6, and without using the sat phone! Also, I'm glad to say the knee held up but complained a bit. 5 of us ended up with achilies pains, 3 of us really badly. So much it was very painful to walk on flat ground or up steep stuff. Janie and I walked the last 7km in thongs because the boots were too painful. Posted by Evan at 2:32 AM. Random Happen...
