Living in a boot: Writings - Final Drafts
http://livinginaboot.blogspot.com/2010/08/writings-final-drafts.html
Living in a boot. Life in Orvieto, Italy. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Writings - Final Drafts. I had to submit a writing portfolio for some of my grad school applications, so I edited and added to some of my Italian compositions. Below is the text. We're about to move to Oxford, UK for a year, so keep your eyes peeled for another blog . . . though this whole Master's Degree thing might take up a bit of time. Inside is no less stunning. She won't pick out her own clothes for a few years yet, but she's Gucc...
Living in a boot: June 2009
http://livinginaboot.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Living in a boot. Life in Orvieto, Italy. Monday, June 22, 2009. We're on our last full day in Prague. It snuck up on me because I can't keep track of days-of-the-week when we're just touring around everyday (I know, I know, tough life). Wayyyyy better than the Rome zoo. AND, the food and beverage there is wicked cheap. That made Penn happy. We ate well and had half a litre of beer for only about $6! Sorry we can't be with you.we'll enjoy a beer in your honor! Wednesday, June 17, 2009. We are safe and ha...

Living in a boot. Life in Orvieto, Italy. Monday, March 30, 2009. First things first. Kill us if we really name any daughter Taormina. And, no, we're leaving babies to Rudy and Ika right now. We saw a slew of famous pieces:. Raphael's School of Athens and his Transfiguration of Christ. Caravaggio's Crucifixion of St. Peter and his Conversion of Saul. It was so great. Monday, March 23, 2009. We're Going to Name Our First Daughter Taormina (Maybe). I guess all the so-called gypsies got the same memo to cle...
Living in a boot: The Full Piece
http://livinginaboot.blogspot.com/2009/06/full-piece.html
Living in a boot. Life in Orvieto, Italy. Thursday, June 11, 2009. I'm going to post the full piece here now that I'm done with it. I'm reading it tonight for the sort of closing ceremonies thing we're doing. Enjoy it. I find myself now in the midst of one such convention. I intended to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail at the sleepy bar I had walked by during my morning shopping. Instead, my prosecco. Inside is no less stunning. She won't pick out her own clothes for a few years yet, but she's Gucci from bonn...
Living in a boot: July 2009
http://livinginaboot.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Living in a boot. Life in Orvieto, Italy. Monday, July 6, 2009. I'm sitting in our hotel in Madrid waiting for Penn to be ready (no surprise there) and I've realized that this is probably my last chance to blog before we head home for the first time in what feels like an eternity. Sorry I haven't been blogging during our whirlwind Europe tour, but I think the pictures on Facebook are an even more descriptive medium than the blog itself. Little beers that you can drink with your tapas.

My Side of Things. A little of this, a little of that. Saturday, November 21, 2009. Aidan's adjusting well to being a big brother, he can't wait to play with Duncan. In fact that's been the hardest part, explaining why the baby is just too little to play catch right now. Things this time around feel easier, despite juggling two small men's schedules. Some things came right back to me, although lack of sleep is still hard. Still, I'm thrilled to now be a family of 4. Originally uploaded by apg.

My Side of Things. A little of this, a little of that. Thursday, August 20, 2009. Is that an update I see? I know, I know, it's been forever and nearly 3 months since I've posted anything. A lot has happened, with us, Aidan and the new baby. Here's generally where we're at. I'm at 25 weeks, a little more than half way and just about to the point where I remember, Oh yeah pregnancy is uncomfortable. So far everything's looking good. We found out that the baby's a boy (YAHOO! And overall I'm doing fine.

My Side of Things. A little of this, a little of that. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. We've been invited to tour the new NICU at Shady Grove this evening. It's a hard hat tour since construction is still underway. Which is both good and bad. I'd love to see the sparkling new NICU all kitted out, but also don't think I could maintain any sort of composure seeing all the equipment in it's familiar place. Friday, March 13, 2009. My Side of Things. A little of this, a little of that. Tuesday, January 05, 2010. Months 2 and 25. I'm a bit behind. I didn't write about Aidan's second birthday or Duncan's first month, but hopefully I'll get a pass. I've been dealing with a newborn and a two year old and Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's. Please forgive me. 3 or 4 times a day. Considering Aidan's just turned two, that's pretty damn good. Originally uploaded by apg. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

My Side of Things. A little of this, a little of that. Tuesday, June 09, 2009. A bottle a day. I've been working on phasing out the bottles from Aidan's routine. A few "easy" goals before the next one gets here. Get Baby 1 off pacifiers, bottles, and out of the crib. We got rid of the pacifiers months ago, and I've got Aidan down to just one bottle a day now at bedtime. Introduction to toddler bed. Yipes! Thursday, June 04, 2009. 18 Months - A Year and a Half! Living in a box - Lite om inredning
Living in a box.
