The Quarter-Acre Adventure: July 2014
http://quarteracreadventure.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Week by Week Photo Project. Monday, July 28, 2014. A friend recently offered us a plastic picnic tables his girls had outgrown, and we were pretty excited because we have been on the lookout for a kids table for the patio. The only downside was that it was pink. And purple. A little too girly for our little men. Ok, not quite that fast. I just didn't take them. Colter and I scrubbed everything down really well, and the following weekend Keith got to painting. When did E get so big? Labels: Keep It Cheap.

Week by Week Photo Project. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. The State of the Quarter-Acre. Thank you all for checking in on us as we brought two babies home, for watching them grow week by week, for being interested in what we grew and built and painted and thought. Since we know most of you outside the blogosphere, we'll still be around. Until we see you face-to-face, just figure this is what life looks like on a daily basis, minus the picturesque backdrop and coordinating outfits. Labels: Just a Thought.

The Quarter-Acre Adventure: Ex Libris
http://quarteracreadventure.blogspot.com/p/ex-libris.html
Week by Week Photo Project. Yep, that's right. I actually wore book-themed clothes. The reading bug bit me, and I hope to never be cured. When I ran into a former co-worker several months after leaving my job to stay home with Bert, he asked me, "Do you get bored being at home all day? I simply answered "no," but thought to myself, Do I get bored? Are there still books being published? The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer. Horse-and-Buggy Mennonites by Donald B. Kraybill and James P. Hurd. Wish You Wel...

http://quarteracreadventure.blogspot.com/2015/01/catch-up-on-christmas.html
Week by Week Photo Project. Monday, January 5, 2015. Catch Up on Christmas. A week and a half since Christmas already? Where did that go? While I hope to get a few more in-depth posts up about gifts and such, I thought I'd post some photos of the holiday season to hold you over until then. The chocolate cookies were a big hit with E. He was also pretty thrilled with the discovery that he could reach the bowl of clementines on top of the microwave by standing on the kitchen chair. So it got clothes-pinned...

Elliott's take might be that they are playing prison. Do you think most models fog up the lens on their close-ups? Oh my Best photo of E to date. Keith says Elliott needs a haircut, but do you see that little curl behind his ear? No way I'm cutting that anytime soon. I'm seeing Uncle Travis here. When we hit the ...

The Quarter-Acre Adventure: December 2014
http://quarteracreadventure.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Week by Week Photo Project. Tuesday, December 23, 2014. We are looking forward to seeing many of you over the next week! Photo by Tawanda Faye Photogrpahy. Thursday, December 11, 2014. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. Colter has been so into all the Christmas books, sitting patiently through even the longest of them and insisting that I sing "The Twelve Days of Christmas" rather than read it. (My singing is most definitely not. A joyful noise so it's doubly sweet that he wants me to sing.).

The Quarter-Acre Adventure: October 2014
http://quarteracreadventure.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Week by Week Photo Project. Friday, October 31, 2014. Happy Halloween, everyone! We actually have all our celebrating in already, since our town does a downtown trick-or-treating on the Wednesday before and neighborhood trick-or-treating on Thursday. We took full advantage though, going out both nights and enjoying watching Colter soak it all up. I am not a fan of getting my hands down in that goo, and Colter wasn't so much either, but he did want to help with the carving. Ok, maybe a little unsure.
