Living with the sun: May 2014
http://livingsolar.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Living with the sun. Life in a superinsulated solar house. More about the life than about the solar. Friday, May 16, 2014. The first peony bud has opened. The second one is still tight. Its color is just right to set off the reddish pink glass things I have on the chest. I seem to have dug up more white iris at the old house than I realized I had. I've brought one indoors, but it's in the process of fading, so I photographed the ones outside. (In better light, too.). Saturday, May 10, 2014. This one's at...
Living with the sun: first snow
http://livingsolar.blogspot.com/2014/11/first-snow.html
Living with the sun. Life in a superinsulated solar house. More about the life than about the solar. Thursday, November 20, 2014. Luckily I have lots of dry wood inside. No birds were braving the feeder yet. I didn't dig the Jeep out for the less than half a mile to work. There's the tree that's lost two branches in a year. I do hope this isn't a very heavy snow. Living with the sun. Life in a superinsulated solar house. More about the life than about the solar. Thursday, February 6, 2014. At least you can see the pine tree was not shot in black and white mode. It was a dim grey day. Then it got light enough to see well. Oops:. I was sick enough that I waited until today to go out and look more closely at the Jeep. (For three days the only footprints around the house were the dog's and the mail carrier's.). Living with the sun: August 2014
http://livingsolar.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Living with the sun. Life in a superinsulated solar house. More about the life than about the solar. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Cayenne for a year. This year's cayenne pepper crop was successful. There are six drying up there, although they don't show up well enough to count. Since I seldom use it for anything but quiche (which I make about once a week) that should last me more than a year, once it has dried and I've ground it in the coffee grinder. Sunday, August 3, 2014. In recent years, I have though...
Living with the sun: some heat
http://livingsolar.blogspot.com/2015/02/some-heat.html
Living with the sun. Life in a superinsulated solar house. More about the life than about the solar. Thursday, February 19, 2015. Here's last summer's cayenne peppers, good and dry. Here's my coffee grinder, nice and clean. Here's the result, which ought to be about a year's supply, since I don't use much when it's homegrown and not aged on some grocery shelf. February 19, 2015 at 7:58 PM. Oh fun to see the process. so to speak. How long does it take to dry? February 20, 2015 at 8:38 AM. We had a pepper ...

Sibu Pegasus Power: October 2011
http://sibupegasuspower.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Photo Finish Friday: Dawn patrol. Yes, I was up in time for the sunrise! This must have been the day of my surgery and here it is just over a month later and I feel so much better! Of course, the dawn is that much later, so it is not a problem seeing it now :). Have a great weekend all! PFF is the brainchild of my cousin Leah over at The Goat's Lunch Pail. Photo Finish Friday: Baby. We went out to Elk Island Park again before my surgery and found this lovely pair in the paddock. Have a good weekend all.

Photo Finish Friday: It's a puzzle! Please click to enlarge. My table wasn't big enough to hold all the pieces while I was working on this. Photo Finish Friday: Canis Lupus. Please click to enlarge. Have a good weekend all. PFF is the creation of Leah over at The Goat's Lunch Pail. Thats a whole lotta dog/wolf craziness! Leah J. Utas. Cool, Reb. My first thought when I saw the black one was it was a wolf. I am not going to let the Princess see this - she would go crazy, barking her warnings! Cool pic, sis. Thanks Leah, yes the black one and the other one in the front of the photo are the wolves. Sis, she would! But nice photo all the same.
Sibu Pegasus Power: Photo Finish Friday: Sibu
http://sibupegasuspower.blogspot.com/2012/05/photo-finish-friday-sibu.html
Photo Finish Friday: Sibu. Sibu out enjoying the spring grass. I have had to take his harness in about an inch on both straps, he has lost that much weight. I don't think he will be with me for very much longer as he feels like nothing so much as fur and bone. So far, he still seems to be happy though so, it will be another few days, maybe weeks before we go to the vet again. Have a good weekend all. PFF is the creation of Leah over at The Goat's Lunch Pail. Oh, Reb, I am so sorry about Sibus decline.
RLU Photos: Sunset
http://rluphotos.blogspot.com/2012/08/sunset.html
This was our sunset the other day. And I think I got a UFO in there too ;). Trees with the sun behind them; who could ask for more? Mary Anne in Kentucky. Thanks Mary Anne. I was so pleased when I came around the corner of the building and saw that setting sun and I actually had my camera in hand! Its a lovely way to end the day, Reb. Thanks. :). It is, isnt it? Leah J. Utas. Very peaceful, Reb, and nicely framed. Cool about the UFO addition. Thanks Leah, I laughed when I saw it. I see the UFO! Crabby, I...

Photo Finish Friday: What a day! This is what I awoke to yesterday. Alberta in the springtime! And damned if it isn't still here today! It will be gone by tomorrow though, I am pretty sure :). Have a Happy Easter Weekend all. PFF is brought to us by Leah over at The Goat's Lunch Pail. Leah J. Utas. Reb, youve out together a very well designed photo. Big cheers for great use of lines. Sibu Pegasus Power: March 2012
http://sibupegasuspower.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Photo Finish Friday: Inuksuk. Photo credit: my friend who wants to be anonymous. My friend is going to Jasper this weekend for her birthday and I am a bit envious. This photo is from one of her previous trips to Jasper - it's on my computer because she asked me to compile a flash drive of photos of mine and hers for another friend that has never actually been to Jasper. (I find that very strange as it is only 4 hours away, but,. She is a bit of a princess apparently. They usually only go to Banff.).
