Living The Great Life. Sunday, August 3, 2008. What a difference a week makes.Welcome little baby! We welcomed Heaton William McHenry into the world one week ago today. He was born Sunday July 27, 2008 at 2:31am (for those who know me, I am not a night owl, so this was a very late day for me! He weighed 7 lbs 8 ozs and was 20" long. He was born ready to eat and started nursing at 3:04 am :-) He was technically a week early (39 weeks), but he was ready to join the family. What a difference a week makes.

Living The Great Life. Thursday, September 11, 2008. My cup runneth over. We are so blessed.a roof over our heads, a basement that is now fixed, and, above all that, healthy children. Time is just flying. I read a saying that life is like a roll of toilet paper, it goes faster the closer you get to the end. hmmm. Lillie is almost 2 1/2 and Heaton is now 6 weeks (where is the time going? For those of you familiar the Disney Pixar movie Cars, you'll enjoy this conversation I had with Lillie this week.

A box of cereal doesn't last very long; we run out of bread; I can't fix scrambled eggs anymore (egg allergy in the house now); I can never make pancakes as quickly as I think I can. Then I found an oatmeal recipe that has saved breakfast for me. Rice Cooker Oatmeal. Brilliant idea. 4 cups water and 2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal in the rice cooker. But you're not done!
