My doc makes my worries disappear | Living Well with Parkinsons Disease

https://livingwellwithparkinsonsdisease.com/2015/04/11/my-doc-makes-my-worries-disappear

Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. My doc makes my worries disappear. My visits to Cindy, my Movement Disorders Specialist, are as much about my emotional and mental health as anything else. My most recent visit was no exception. It was prompted by my concern that my gait seems to have significantly worsened since I developed pneumonia a few weeks ago. I needed reassurance that this is just a temporary setback, and not a slippery slope. Now, I’ve been happy lately,. And I believe it could be;. Thank yo...

Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. Everyone has a story to tell, a life lesson to teach. Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. Surviving the emergency room. What I hadn’t considered is how the electronic medical record (EMR), intended to reduce potentially fatal errors, is only as good as the people inputting and retrieving the information. Though I told the person updating my EMR about having Parkinson’s, the next person who called up my digital chart asked how long I had had Alzheimer’s, a ridiculous question for someone plagued by memory issues. Is that what my chart says? March 28, 2015.
