http://livingwithmrfleas.blogspot.com/2010/06/tuesdays-lunch-biro-highlighters-some.html
Biro, highlighters, some pencil). They call me mr. fruit-bat. Posted by Ian russell. I love the way that they are arranged and the eye is drawn from the fore ground towards the back along the banana. Really great drawing. Tuesday, 15 June, 2010. Hey, do you know how hard it is to scan in highlighter ink? The colours arent quite true to the original, less dayglo, but when I tried photoshopping it, the banana kept disappearing! Wednesday, 16 June, 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just who is thelma ritter? The backward glance is interesting but what sold it to me was the heavy overcoat she's wearing - it was already heavy and I've made it over so. No one tends to wear heavy coats these days, and very soon no one will need to. Posted by Ian russell. When I was very small I did wear some heavy coats. Now I do the layer thing. Wonderful portrait. I am enjoying the juxtaposition of the stylized flowers near her. Another great piece. Sunday, 09 August, 2009. Sunday, 09 August, 2009.

http://livingwithmrfleas.blogspot.com/2011/03/when-i-told-my-first-art-class-teacher.html
When I told my first art class teacher about Hockney's digital art, he gave me a disparaging look. Computers, in art? He seemed to have taken firmly against the idea. Grave blasphemy, probably. And I was only making conversation. There's a video interview with David Hockney posted on Bryan Appleyard's. As soon as I saw it I just wanted one of those iPads. But by teatime, I realised all I wanted was to have a go. Thanks to my blogging friend, Steve. For this link to OdoSketch. To see what I was aiming for.

poetsday: one deep breath
http://helpmewriteapoem.blogspot.com/2006/10/one-deep-breath_31.html
Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Watching them when I'm not there. Faith, trust, hope and love. This week's prompt made me think I'm more of an observational guy and I could appreciate the unseen more. I had a bit of difficulty with 'observing' the unseen without being too literal. Posted by Ian russell at 12:16 AM. Beautiful poem, Ian. Tuesday, 31 October, 2006. I know what you mean. I too have similar problems. Wednesday, 01 November, 2006. Friday, 17 November, 2006. For me, poetry is still a bit of a mystery.
poetsday: two-minute poetry
http://helpmewriteapoem.blogspot.com/2006/11/two-minute-poetry_116481101961298670.html
Wednesday, November 29, 2006. A wise man I knew sat to offer advice. He told me, whenever you attempt anything. Try to be the best, and if you can't. Be the best, then be. There are a lot of people in this old world. You can bet if you've thought of it. Then someone else has too! Think twice about everything you do. But don't just do nothing. That just won't do at all! If you can't be the best - or. Just be yourself, be someone at least. And on that point he rose. And leaving, walked smack into a post.
poetsday: avoidance
http://helpmewriteapoem.blogspot.com/2006/10/avoidance.html
Friday, October 20, 2006. Or fewer than seventeen. Posted by Ian russell at 1:13 AM. For me, poetry is still a bit of a mystery. This began as a serious personal exercise to understand and appreciate poetry, and to endeavour to compose at least one piece of good verse. It still is, although to a lesser extent. moving on, this is now really a place to post my thoughts and observations in verse form. I have developed a greater fondness for the haiku form of expression, more now than merely a syllable puzzle.

http://helpmewriteapoem.blogspot.com/2006/10/one-deep-breath.html
Monday, October 23, 2006. When i glance in the mirror. Caught in the passing headlights. As the night claims them. Reading the link on one deep breath for Kristin Boryca. S study on the four aesthetic terms in haiku - sabi, wabi, yugen and aware, I wondered if they could relate to the four elements - fire, air (wind), water, earth. (whatever they might mean! I came up with;. Sabi - solitude - air (or wind). Wabi - stability - earth. Yugen - mystery - fire. Aware - impermanence - water. Kinda creepy, huh?
Scarecrow: April 2006
http://olscarecrow.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 30, 2006. Originally uploaded by stogscrow. On a recient visit to the tree museum, the Scarecrow wonders what it must have been like to see a real tree. Now the only trees are painted on walls at the museum. What was it like to hear the wind blowing through the branches? What was it like to see the leaves fall just before winter? What must the the spring have been like? When the all the trees got their leaves. The old ones told their stories but no one could remember a real tree. Posted by ...

Living with Mr M and Les Enfants. The life and trials of a mum and her 3 'Little Men'. Me and My Boys. Sunday, 20 July 2014. This is my pre-teen, he is soon to be 13 years old and is beautiful on both the inside and out. To me my little growing man is absolutely, without a doubt, drop dead gorgeous. I don't know whether it's a stage he is going through or whether it's something that we have done to him as parents, but he lacks in confidence. Is it inherited, a learned behaviour? What can I do? Point 1: Almost all MRSA websites give you the same basic information and pictures of MRSA. Point 3: Most doctors will not discuss diet and natural remedies for MRSA.
