Profound Sarcasm: July 2008
http://profoundsarcasm.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
That's me rolling my eyes). Thursday, July 31, 2008. One More Reason To Never Join The Military. Apparently 40 percent of female soldiers in hospitals report being sexually assaulted. And, of course, a military doctor subpoenaed in the case was ordered not to show up to a hearing. Yet the Army is claiming they take sexual assault claims seriously? Something doesn't add up there. Profound Sarcasm: I Think They Were Building the Bird's Nest When I Was In China...
http://profoundsarcasm.blogspot.com/2008/08/i-think-they-were-building-birds-nest.html
That's me rolling my eyes). Saturday, August 9, 2008. I Think They Were Building the Bird's Nest When I Was In China. But I don't remember for sure. Anyhoo, that opening ceremony was pretty much the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. The little boy that walked out with Yao Ming that had saved some of his classmates during the earthquake was adorable. And his story came very close to making me cry. I kept yelling at the TV every time they showed George and Laura. Especially. Wisdom Imparted by Liza.

Profound Sarcasm: Why Do Entertainers Keep Dying?
http://profoundsarcasm.blogspot.com/2008/08/why-do-entertainers-keep-dying.html
That's me rolling my eyes). Saturday, August 9, 2008. Why Do Entertainers Keep Dying? Died this morning of pneumonia. He was only 50. Is it just me or have a lot of public figures been dying relatively young this year? I mean, Heath Ledger. Is a pretty obvious one. Also, Tim Russert. I know George Carlin. Was 74, but I still didn't think of him as old. Wisdom Imparted by Liza. Profound Subject Matter celebrities. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). That's How I Blogroll. Liza's Knits and Giggles.

That's me rolling my eyes). Saturday, September 27, 2008. As both of you that read this may have noticed, I haven't really been posting to this blog anymore. I'm kind of too busy to keep up, so don't be surprised if I never come back or just sort of toss something up here sporadically. Wisdom Imparted by Liza. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Profound Sarcasm: January 2008
http://profoundsarcasm.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
That's me rolling my eyes). Wednesday, January 30, 2008. I Pretty Much Called It. Apparently I am a political psychic. Or it was glaringly obvious. Either way, John Edwards has dropped out of the Presidential race. He isn't endorsing any other candidate at this time. That's smart. Which ever one of them wins the nomination (*cough*Hillary*cough*) will need a running mate, and no one plays a better second fiddle than John Edwards. In other news, Giuliani has dropped out as well. I mean, SRSLY. I love when...

That's me rolling my eyes). Friday, August 15, 2008. If I Didn't Already Despise American Apparel. I found this gem of an article on the Feministing community. About the founder of American Apparel. Apparently he has multiple sexual harassment lawsuits. Because he likes to go to meetings in his underwear and take his wang out in the office. Wisdom Imparted by Liza. Profound Sarcasm: Asking and Telling
http://profoundsarcasm.blogspot.com/2008/07/asking-and-telling.html
That's me rolling my eyes). Wednesday, July 23, 2008. A House committee is looking to review and repeal don't ask don't tell. So gay people can actually be gay in service. My concern though, would an overturn include protection against harassment from peers and higher-ups? Wisdom Imparted by Liza. Profound Subject Matter discrimination. That's me rolling my eyes). Thursday, August 14, 2008. Glad To See I'm Not The Only One Who Noticed. The discrepancies in male vs. female Olympic uniforms. Someone posted about it here. Their examples are all Australia's athletes, but apparently this is an international problem. Which makes sense because I'd assume the uniforms would be universal. The opening ceremony couldn't have just been awesome, we had to ruin it with that? I do kind of love this line from a French volleyball player:. I Think They W...
