Time to relax | The meanderings of me
https://lizrides.wordpress.com/2009/09/20/time-to-relax
The meanderings of me. September 20, 2009. The FCAT is over, and what a whirlwind of an experience it was. I’m staying on in Nicaragua for the next week to enjoy a little tourism and should have some time to reflect on this great adventure. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Volcan Masaya | The meanderings of me
https://lizrides.wordpress.com/2009/09/20/volcan-masaya
The meanderings of me. September 20, 2009. Nicaragua – the land of lakes and volcanoes. Our first tourist outing was to visit Volcan Masaya the weekend before we settled in to work. The volcano was a beautiful sight. This one was definitely alive, spewing out some very noxious gasses. It shoots out boulders from time to time, and tourists are warned to back-in park in case you need to make a run for it! Laquo; Time to relax. Word of the Day: routine. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. An excellently creepy way to spend an hour | The meanderings of me
https://lizrides.wordpress.com/2009/12/07/an-excellently-creepy-way-to-spend-an-hour
The meanderings of me. December 7, 2009. An excellently creepy way to spend an hour. However, the lack of ambiance doesn’t take away from the sheer intricacy/creepiness of the figures. If you haven’t been to a wax museum before, it’s definitely worth the trip. And of course the fun comes from striking a pose. This one’s for Bec Bec:. Hangin’ out with Mr. Dylan:. I feel pretty | The meanderings of me
https://lizrides.wordpress.com/2010/04/04/i-feel-pretty
The meanderings of me. April 4, 2010. I accomplished my primary goal for the weekend: to paint my toes. The urge came over me on Friday when I wore sandals to work for the first time this spring. Brain said, “Feet, don’t you think you’d look prettier with a little sparkle? 8221; Feet were sold. They needed to shine! Side note: the answer to that question is always yes. The more sparkle, the better.). Saturday afternoon, as I rooted around my tiny makeup Caboodle (yup, still got one! If you do i can help.

Sacramento | North American Adventure
https://naadventure.wordpress.com/2008/11/11/sacramento
Sweetest Road Trip Ever. Laquo; San Francisco and the Bay Area. November 11, 2008. Next up: Sacramento. It made the list not so much for sightseeing, but for professional reasons as there are a lot of environmental jobs in the city. We poked around the historic district, which included a good toy store and a huge candy store with free samples. It was definitely a cheesy tourist trap, but fun none the less. We also auto toured downtown and saw the government buildings from the car window. An error has occ...

Race season finally settled in after a sporadic start with postponements and cancellations. This season I decided to measure my results based on fun (yes or no) instead of placings. This past week has been a nice break from the normal routine. Churtle emailed and wanted to go for a long hilly ride. This is. I love the Churtle!

Outside Cordoba | South American Adventure

Laquo; Cordoba and La Cumbre. 20 April 2008 by travelerben. A funny thing happened on the overnight trip to Cordoba. When I looked out the window after waking up in the morning I saw a John Deer dealership, plowed fields, and flatness that I swear made me believe I was in Ohio for a full thirty seconds. Now when Argentines ask me what Ohio is like I ask them if they have been to Cordoba. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Greetings from Buenos Aires. 27 April 2008 by Liz. A journey of more than 7,000 miles starts today with a walk to the bus station. Although Salta is about 4,600 miles from Bellbrook as the condor flies, our journey is taking a bit of a zigzag across the continents. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Liz Rides with Team in Training
Friday, April 3, 2009. My teammate Rogelio just published some pictures. From Solvang. I'm in a few of them. Check them out! Monday, March 30, 2009. Sorry that this post has been a little delayed, I'm still working overtime hours. I've been writing on and off in my downtime the past couple of weeks. Thanks for being patient! I am excited to announce that I am now officially a 100 mile bike rider! I got back to my hotel room around 8 to set up all of my gear and turn in early. I put my numbers on my jersey.
