Last night Chris was fixing water problems in Erda, Jordan was bucking hay with Grandma and Grandpa, Jemma was playing with a friend, and I went to the evening meeting for youth and adults. Sunday, February 23, 2014. After Many Years, a Fondue Night. We smell like grease. I've been thinking about the old days when my family would gather around our dining room table, which was probably covered with a green checked terry cloth table cloth, and fondue pieces of chicken and beef in hot oil. So I asked my mom if she still had the old yellow Oster fondue pot, which she didn't, but she knew of someone that had two fancy new stainless fondue pots which we borrowed. Chris wasn't so find of the fondue.

Monday, September 28, 2009. Last February Chris's Grandpa Johnson had a stroke. Grandma Johnson brought him home from the hospital with plans for hospice to take over his care, but it wasn't long before the services of hospice were no longer needed. We had some good recommendations for what to do in Philadelphia, but we also only had a day, and not even a full day, so we did what we could to experience this amazing city. A few highlights: the Museum of Art, Rocky statue, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Philly cheesesteaks from a great little deli, Reading Terminal Market and the LOVE park (where Chris and Travis showed their brother(in-law)ly love. I know a lot of people have connections to st george and could arrange their own housing and we could schedule 3-4 days of activities and utilize the spa for some of the activities.
