We are officially at 5 weeks ( and 1 day) post RPAO and it’s been busy with back to school right around the corner… Back to school that is causing anxiety and after attending Open House tonight we are filled with more anxiety. Was hoping for the opposite effect! On a bright side Sydney was feeling decent enough yesterday morning to get her first shower and until her tummy started bothering she felt a bit “normal” for the first time in a week. The shower chair and handheld showerhead is a MUST and this is definitely a 2 person job for awhile- no time to be shy when you undergo this surgery to say the least! Sydney's Hip Journey. And we are home! July 22, 2014. I didn’t get a chance to update yesterday but it was another day in the hospital and the 4 walls were closing in….we were anxious to get home yet scared to leave and be in a home with more obstacles than a hospital room and less help with no “nurse call” button!
