Life and times in Cherry Green. September 22, 2014. Heading up the town stopped by the visitors centre and picked up some trail maps. Also checked out the Park Rangers talks, one on the terraces that we went to (pic to follow) and one we hope to get to tomorrow that is a tour of Fort Yellowstone. 400 miles of road around the park were built between 1883 and 1918 by the US Army Corp of engineers; quite a job! Life and times in Cherry Green. From Vegas to Calico. May 27, 2016. The diner at the LVM resort was from another era! Breakfast was delicious. This is a place to visit again! Getting back onto the I-15 was simple and the journey to Barstow was uneventful but traffic was heavy. If you think Idaho roads are boring, try the I-15 in California, dead straight for miles and miles! Bryce Canyon National Park. Life and times in Cherry Green. September 28, 2014. The temperature dropped as the sun sunk behind the hills and the days fishing ended. In the morning, mist rising was very quiet, got a rise and hooked, but again badly tied fly and it was gone…… no more hits after that. Sign ‘grizzlys sighted locally’ may have put people off but not the ‘intrepids’. Went for a walk and folloed a trail down to the lake and walked through herd of deer; think they were all whitetails but one fawn had awfully big ears!
