The London Saxophone Choir does not require new members to audition and we do not currently limit the size of any of our sections. This makes the choir unique as most other saxophone ensembles have strict limits and entrance criteria. We rehearse three times a month, during which we usually play through a few pieces and extensively rehearse one or two other pieces in preparation for performances. The Context Of Information. A keen amateur who enjoys playing music (currently with the London Saxophone Choir. And composing and arranging it too! My love of music started as a boy singing with my local church choir ( St. Mary's Balham. Another hiatus, but not quite as long and I find that love of music has never quite gone away - it's just that my fingers don't move as fast as I would like them to. I'm currently studying for a PhD with City University, researching into how the information that can be gleaned from an object changes according the context in which that object has been placed. (For more information on this research, click here. This is a subject which started to intrigue me when I was writing my Library Science Masters' dissertation when I was looking at all the objects in my parish church, St Mary's, Balham. I also play with the London Saxophone Choir.
