IT'S THE NOW SOUND. IT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING! Friday, July 22, 2011. Edward Meeker - "I'm A Yiddish Cowboy" (1908). A track from the compilation album Jewface. A collection of antique novelty records made by Jewish performers for an audience made up mostly of recent immigrants. cinnamon songs: The Driscolls - PC Roberts
http://cinnamonsongs.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-driscolls-pc-roberts.html
Brightening your life.three minutes at a time. Saturday, August 11, 2012. The Driscolls - PC Roberts. Late '80s jangle-pop band from Bristol whose entire recorded output seems to consist of a handful of 7"s and compilation tracks. Most of which are worth tracking down, if not exactly essential. This is from a 1987 cassette comp which mostly features bands of equal obscurity, though there are tracks from the McTells, Mayfields and Haywains - as well as a familiar one credited to "The Palesaints".
