Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Construction Zone- Part Four. For the past year our favorite trail has been closed due to construction of a huge bridge. We have been visiting it regularly to see how it is coming along. See Parts one. The bridge is nearly complete! Maybe the trail will be open soon! This time there were no cool machines to look at, and the microwave was gone. It hadn't rained in about a month, so all the dirt had dried up and cracked like a giant desert. I can't wait for the trail to be open again.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. August first was the five year anniversary of our first date, which was also my first time trying sushi. So it's a tradition to always get sushi on our anniversary! This year a new buffet opened up in town that had a fresh sushi bar, so we had to check it out. It was delicious and I tried every piece of sushi they had. They also had delicious mint mousse for dessert that I am still thinking about. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see what year six holds! All the best,.

Thursday, May 28, 2015. During our brief, cold beach visit, we managed to check out one of the lighthouses. I had been to this one a few times before but never climbed it before this day. Folklore says the lighthouse was named after all the dead sailors that shipwrecked on the outer banks' jagged shores, but really it's named after the body family who first purchased the land where the lighthouse sits. Monday, August 3, 2015. This past week at work was not a very encouraging one. But, I knew what I was getting into coming back to this place, so I won't complain! We finally got some rain at the end of the week. It's fun to water my garden, but it does get a bit tedious, having to do it day after day in the sticky heat.
