Nana babysat the kids when I had an appointment this week and Dirk was at work. It was her first real time alone with Leif since she'd been sick with pneumonia for a month. Leif weighed in at 13 pounds 3 ounces at his 2-month appointment, ranking in the 85th percentile for weight! And he grew an amazing 3 inches in length! Boy oh boy, don't babies grow fast! Just a snippet in the life of Dirk, Effie, Sephira and Leif Siverts. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. We're pregnant with the newest addition to our growing family! As many of you may recall, our nickname for Sephira (in utero) was "Littlest" - since she was the littlest Siverts. Now we can endearing call this baby "Newest"! We only found out on May 1st through a home pregnancy test, and our ultrasound on May 11th confirmed how far along we were.since we didn't know! Just seven months to prepare and ween Sephira!

THE SIVERTS: Leif's First Shower!

Just a snippet in the life of Dirk, Effie, Sephira and Leif Siverts. Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Just like with Sister Sephira, Leif first experience with a hot, cozy shower was much more calmly received than his first couple sponge baths. Lucky for us he lost his umbilical cord stump within 3 days so we didn't need to draw out the traumatic sponge bath experience. Leif getting pysched for his first sponge bath! Just not too happy about it. Leif's first shower with Dada, 1 week old. We are moving .
