Colour, shape and texture in south-west France. Project 2 - Recording and capturing. A few hours working on ‘recording and capturing’ my three items. I followed the brief at first, avoiding colour and trying to capture the essence of the textiles in pencil and ink. Shawl: using wet and dry ink to show folds and drape. Ink wash on tracing paper, scrap of crochet used to dab and print in the wet ink. Tracing paper again, trying to create the slubs in the silk with wc ink applied straight from the dropper.
