LOUGHREA SPRINT TRIATHLON, 2ND AUG 2015. Registration & Parking. Welcome to the 10th year of this Sprint distance event! Click here for the 2015 Race Report. The 2015 event will be part of the Vodafone National Series. And will be held on Sunday 2nd of August. The 750m swim takes place in the crystal clear waters of Loughrea lake. The shallow water is an ideal swim course for beginners. The 5K run is an out and back course with a climb to the turn and a fast descent coming back into the transition area.
