love made my home: Leach Pottery

http://lovemademyhome.blogspot.com/2015/08/leach-pottery.html

Friday, 14 August 2015. Both Hubby and I are interesting in pottery, although Hubby's interest is more pottery and mine is more in other sorts of ceramics. When we visited the Leach Pottery in St Ives in April though both of our interests collided in a great way! I knew of the work of the great potter Bernard Leach and we were both keen to visit the pottery. We start off in the museum area. The "climbing kiln" was the first of its kind to be built in this country and is a scheduled monument. It is ve...

love made my home: Five On Friday

http://lovemademyhome.blogspot.com/p/five-on.html

Five On Friday is a way to share Five things - on a Friday! They can be connected, or not. You could choose to share five quotes and say why they mean something to you, five pictures from your garden, five favourite flowers, five cakes, five anything that you like! You can join in at any time, you can post each week, monthly or just occasionally. Whatever you want to do is fine. Then link either with a hyperlink, by including the Five On Friday button in your post or adding a reference. Love Made My Home.

love made my home: Lanhydrock - getting to be upstairs this time!

http://lovemademyhome.blogspot.com/2015/08/lanhydrock-getting-to-be-upstairs-this.html

Thursday, 13 August 2015. Lanhydrock - getting to be upstairs this time! Today we are going upstairs at Lanhydrock House to see how the upper classes lived! Most of the house that you see today is from the Victorian era. The house was built from 1620 onwards by Richard Robartes and continued by his son John Robartes who was the first Earl of Radnor. The house was rebuilt in the style of the old house. So, off we go around the above stairs parts of the house! Quite a billiards table and billiards room!

love made my home: This and that and Thank You

http://lovemademyhome.blogspot.com/2015/08/this-and-that-and-thank-you.html

Wednesday, 12 August 2015. This and that and Thank You. It is all good though now and Hubby is back at work and I am just glad that I could mostly be home to help him and that he was over it so quickly. Monday was by gosh a tricky day, I did my private tour at work and had one person wandering off - and picking things up! So they understood the situation no doubt. It did make me appreciate the normal visitors so much though! Yesterday I had an interesting meeting at work - and no I didn't write or hand i...

Friday, 22 May 2015. Hey, look at me, three posts in three days! What is happening. Spooky huh! Three Stories High: Three Stories High

http://joeveryday19.blogspot.com/2015/08/three-stories-high.html

I make something everyday. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. We live in a three story house, it keeps me fit and names my blog! Today I am giving you a peek into our other two three story houses. My Uncle made the first house for Big Sis when she was one and she has collected things for it ever since. Spending her birthday money on little plates and cups, pictures and flowers. Yesterday they decided to do a spring clean and take everything out and give it a dust; playing with a dry paintbrush and sweeping the c...

http://joeveryday19.blogspot.com/2015/07/minerva-24th-july-friday.html

I make something everyday. Friday, 24 July 2015. I have to level with you, I am not living in a parallel time zone where there are endless knitting minutes. I did actually finish this cardigan two weeks ago but my Minerva post is scheduled for today in case you wondered how I managed two knitting posts back to back! So it is July the peek of summer but us knitters know this is the time to finish off those winter WIP's in time to wear next season. This yarn is from Minerva Crafts. Are you a blocker? Im su...

Farmhouse Traditions: Mother's Day crochet flowers

http://farmhousetraditions.blogspot.com/2015/03/mothers-day-crochet-flowers.html

Sweet vintage home sewn. Sunday, 15 March 2015. Mother's Day crochet flowers. I have been working on creating a crochet flower corsage over the last couple of weeks. There is an abundance of patterns for this purpose-the crochet flower is more than well documented! However, I wanted something that was exactly right as I wanted a special flower for today- Mother's Day. As I used 4 ply cotton and a 2.75mm hook with the measurements suggested the rose would come out a little small so I adjusted it start...

Booth #555: Primitive "Kitchen Themed" Wooden Spoons

http://www.booth555.com/2012/11/primitive-kitchen-themed-wooden-spoons.html

Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Primitive "Kitchen Themed" Wooden Spoons. You can do a lot with wooden spoons in a country theme. This is kinda a spinoff on my Snowman Spoons. And Primitive Wooden Spoons. Posts I bought oodles of spoons and so I decided to do a different theme this week. I had toyed around with making hanging ornaments out of them. And here's how they turned out. Keep in mind you can keep these hanging up all year round on your prim trees. That's what I'm going to do in my dining room! You c...

Farmhouse Traditions: August 2016

http://farmhousetraditions.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html

Sweet vintage home sewn. Saturday, 20 August 2016. It's a lovely summer again with lots of visits this year from family. I love to make a little keepsake gift for my adorable niece and nephew and this year decided to make them a patchwork cushion to take home. Now for me, making anything for a boy is quite a challenge-I just have never had the practice and can't say my interest runs to football and the like! However, there is one theme that I do enjoy and it is so linked to Cornwall.pirates! After much r...

love made my home

Saturday, 15 August 2015. Well worth listening to! I have been hearing this song by Rod Stewart on the radio recently and then I found the video that goes with it. A great cheerful and happy song. Just thought you might enjoy it! The video is a good fun watch too. Watch for the backing singers dancing and the ladies playing the violins - and their beautiful shawls! Oh and you get to see the landmark Capitol Records building too - a great piece of architecture. Hope you all have a great weekend. There is ...
