Sunday, December 13, 2009. White Rock Half Marathon. I know it's been a while so I last blogged, but have no fear. I did not give up on running! In fact, today was the day of my half marathon and I did it! I ran 13.1 miles in around 2 hours and 16 minutes. I ran at approx. a 10:29 pace. That was better than I thought I'd do, so I am happy! Tuesday, September 22, 2009. I ran my first 10k! And it was so much fun! Anyway, there was a lot more hills than I expected, but I ran them all. I only took (2) 30 second walk breaks at the top of 2 hills to catch my breath, but that was it. Other than that, I RAN! I was so proud of myself when I came around the corner and saw the finish line. I also wore my new Garmin watch so I could keep up with my pace/distance. I love that thing! Which made me feel good. Friday, August 28, 2009. So it's been a month. Anyway, my run yesterday was pretty good I think. I ran 26 mins (2.5 miles) before I took a walk break. All together I did 4.5 miles. Monday, August 31, 2009. I'm so proud of myself! It would hurt. I thought it was a pulled muscle, but I'm not sure how it happened. By the end of Saturday's shift, I was really, really hurting. I was planning on running 6 miles on Sunday morning, and by that point, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it! Needless to say, I was in bed by 8:30 Saturday night. I ended running for 52 minutes (4.75 miles) with only a 1 minute water break at around 2.75 miles! THAT'S why I'm so proud of myself!

Friday, July 17, 2009. Lets try this again. I originally started this blog back in November 2008 to document my journey of the Couch to 5k program, but it didn't take me long to fall of the wagon. Heck, I don't even think I was completely IN the wagon before I fell off! So around Thanksgiving I decided to give up running for the holidays (good thinking, right? I'm hoping to keep up with this blogging thing throughout my training, too. Wish me luck on both accounts (running and blogging)!

2 Sew or Not 2 Sew

Saturday, March 24, 2012. So I know it must seem like I've dropped off the face of the earth. I haven't! I know many sewers share their weight loss journey, but honestly, I just have no desire to do so! I would like to sew the dress I plan to wear for the wedding, since I don't loose weight proportionately (I always hear that the bust shrinks - that has never been true for me, and has not been so far) and I want a well fitting dress.
