The Haneys: July 2008
http://ahaney.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
And then there were three. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. We are back from taking our high schoolers to CIY's Move conference. We had an absolutely fantastic week! These kids are simply incredible. This was a first time experience for everyone except Chris and me. Vicki. I have seen, far too many times, kids come back from this kind of experience only to return to the life that they led before they left. I am praying that this will not be the case for these kids, and I serve a God who is powerful enough t...

The Haneys: December 2008
http://ahaney.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
And then there were three. Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Last night Chris and I had dinner with Phil Claycomb. The director of a church planting organization in Texas, and Bob Wood the director of Oregon Christian Evangelistic Fellowship, who also plants churches. We enjoyed an nice dinner and afterwards began discussing our vision for Portland and possible paths to get there. Plus, there was great soup and good coffee. :). Monday, December 15, 2008. It was December 14th for goodness sake! It is an awfully...

The Haneys: Believe it or not...
http://ahaney.blogspot.com/2009/02/believe-it-or-not.html
And then there were three. Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Believe it or not. They selected one of my pictures! They didn't have thousands of entry's or anything, but today I was surpised to hear that the City of Carrollton selected one of my photos for 2nd prize. Not too shabby. Plus, I get $100. And the winner is. Labels: 50 Things for 2009. Did you use a Sepia filter? February 11, 2009 at 3:02 PM. You're officially a published photojournalist! I'm now famous by association. The Haneys: November 2008
http://ahaney.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
And then there were three. Friday, November 14, 2008. Since I have been so good a keeping up with this lately, I decided that I may as well title this entry for the month. Chances are it will be the only one. Lately things have been great! We, of course, are busy as usual, but all is well in the Haney/Jewett/Bair household. Yes.that is as ridiculous as it sounds. Life is always an adventure in our house. He just happened to knock on our door as part of a community outreach project, and he just happened t...

The Haneys: May 2008
http://ahaney.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
And then there were three. Thursday, May 15, 2008. I promised pictures, but obviously I'm a liar. (The Lord has already forgiven me, so you should too.) I don't have any yet. BUT. I do have Chris's Sr. Sermon! He did a fantastic job! Also, Vicki's Sr. Sermon is on here, if you want to listen to hers. She did a great job too! Wednesday, May 7, 2008. We are all moved in! I figure it could be worse, I mean Vicki has a hole in her kitchen ceiling. At least I don't have that. :). Chris has finished school!

The New Small Talk: Lord of the Flies
http://thenewsmalltalk.blogspot.com/2012/06/lord-of-flies.html
The New Small Talk. Friday, June 15, 2012. Lord of the Flies. We have an infestation. A fly infestation. Somehow (when I say "somehow," I mean, "because I left the door open all day and there are holes in our screen"), a bunch of flies got into our house yesterday. I noticed them around lunch time, just sitting on our screen door. I didn't do anything about it. I figured I'd wait and see how it all played out. Exercise to help you get used to the mouse. I imagine that this is what it's like for Scott...

The New Small Talk: September 2010
http://thenewsmalltalk.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
The New Small Talk. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Last weekend, while on a little getaway with friends, an interesting and disturbing topic came up. It all started when I yelled at the boys to put the seat down after they used the facilities. We (the girls) needed to explain to them the painful consequences of a toilet left wide-open. Namely, that we will fall in. Clearly, that is ridiculous, but it did get me wondering why I don't check. Certainly there have been times when I have.

The Haneys: Back On My High Horse
http://ahaney.blogspot.com/2009/04/back-on-my-high-horse.html
And then there were three. Monday, April 6, 2009. Back On My High Horse. I find it unfair that it is in the face of persecution, injustice, accusation, and trial that the depth of our character is shown most clearly. It is unfair because isn’t it only natural for people to respond defensively or angrily in such circumstances? After all, how else are we to survive? Is it right that a person be judged based on how they respond when they are wronged? Thank goodness for grace! So today, as I am struggling th...
