To some that sounds terrible, but we lived a little bit away from the worst of it. My mum and dad moved into a rented house, when they married before the Second World War, and lived there until they moved to sheltered housing in the 1980's. I was born in 1950, the youngest of 3 and the only boy. The Gautby Road School Country Dance Team. I'm middle row 4th from the right.
