I have been injured since Thanksgiving so I have done anything but set around on my ass getting fatter. I managed to mess up my knee and shoulder while out riding the dirt bike (KTM 250 XC). Bruce’s racing and training blog. Curious about what a rider / racer with no natural talent does to attempt to get fast? If so come on in. Green Tour race report – I WON! The Greene Tour Yellow Springs Ohio. Cat 4/5 road race 42 miles. The course was approximately 10 miles with a mile climb at the beginning of each lap. The climb was around 10% for the first half or so then it dropped to around 4% or so for the remainder. At the ending it was a small climb followed by a mile flat section for the finish.

After a couple of rest days / recovery I finally made it back on the bike yesterday. I had debated riding since I have a sinus infection and I am having some problems breathing. I decided to HTFU and get on out there. As for the rest of the week, today I plan on riding two or three hours. Tomorrow will be a rest day so I will probably take the Ninja out for a ride...

Just a quick update, my arthroscopic knee surgery is scheduled for next Friday. Hopefully within a month after that I will be back on the bike and hopefully getting rid of some of this fat I have acquired. I’m getting very tired of carrying it around! Sunday Ride on my CX. In what must be a typical MTB terrain. This one here doesn't look very steep, but believe me. It is. One of the few walking parts of the trip. It might be ridable with some lighter gearing than 38/28 and some sticky low inflated 2,3" tires. Going into the Norwegian woods. Lagt inn av Regular Guest. Wow, looks like a beautiful place to ride. My Fixie is finally done! The frame is an old Raleigh I found in England. Used to be white with some rust shining through. It was delivered with the original track fork (painted that one too), but I kind of chickened out with a fork drilled for brakes. It's build up with a various selection of components. Another build is coming up. Anyways. Now, only a few blocks away, this frame turns out for sale. Me, with no money to spend on bikes for a looong time, or spend on anything else for that matters, ask this person if he's willing to trade it for a pair of wheels (Shimano 7800. Barely used). And that he is! All the members of the house are exited over getting another bike in the house. The frame is made by Daccordi for a Norwegan brand (DBS) using SLX tubing. Lagt inn av Regular Guest.
