Monday, September 16, 2013. Not going into too much detail about this brew. Basically it was thrown together last moment as a brewing opportunity presented itself. I used up some bits of malt here and there, a closet cleaner of sorts. Hops were Challenger @ 60m (40g) and Target at flame-out (40g). Supposedly 45 IBU. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Update 2 - Low Tech Helles. Helles brew day went into the books on Sunday past. Full krausen within 36hrs. Temperature holding steady at 12c/53.6F. This time however, I am brewing with genuine English ingredients including WLP022 (Essex Ale), a characterful English top-cropping yeast from Chelmsford, UK ( Ridley's Ale.
