Monday, September 28, 2009. A Totally Biased Guide To Pop Montreal! Pop Montreal when me and my fellow Montrealers open our cluttered apartments to dozens of bands (and if you are like me , that means serving brunch to 10 scroungers each morning), dust off our woolens and bike around town furiously making it from show to show. Set times for most of these Shows can be found on the Pop Montreal website. Wednesday, September 30th : :. HUNX AND HIS PUNX. Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent). 8:30 - 11:30 pm. Théâtre...

The paradox of the band’s name is intrinsic to the songs they sing. They scream and wail, but just when you think the onslaught is relentless, they turn on a dime and let Kat’s sweet voice take over. Or Justin let’s loose with a string of “Baby, baby, baby…” The centre only seems softe...After self-releasing a CDR-EP, Lullabye A...

He Shoots...: April 2010
http://tkshoots.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
He's more likely to score when he has his cards with him. April 19, 2010. Apart from my Flickr set posts, it’s been slow here at He Shoots… It’s not for a lack of trying; I’ve had a few ideas which ultimately weren’t worth posting full blog entries. However, in order to prove that the rumours of my death are greatly exaggerated, here are a few bits and pieces of what’s been happening with me. Before the Protest Against Protests. Andrew Scott of Sloan. Due to my highly active Twitter account. I could prob...

VIRTUAL DYNAMIC: January 2010

Monday, January 18, 2010. Indeed. Just ask the folks over at RCRD LBL, who got behind Sullivan early on and wrote, “Canvas shorts and reggae music sound like summer spent by the water being lazy. Sean. Bones is not lazy.” Sure enough, Sullivan spent many late nights crafting the dirt-encrusted reggae that drives Sean Bones’ Frenchkiss debut Rings. Remember that early “Easy Street”/“Act So Casual” single? In 1999 Joe DeNardo moved into a house in Olympia, Washington. It just so happened that a musical...
