LUUSAC is a British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) branch based at the University of Leeds. We teach scuba diving to over 70 new members every year, whether you're new to diving or you have learnt to dive with BSAC, PADI, SAA, SMAS, SSAC, or SSI we can cater for you. We dive throughout the year and go on regular trips both in the UK and abroad.

The trip started smoothly enough, with the van making the trek up to Scotland first and relaxing with a few beers in the hostel waiting for the stragglers. It was decided that we would do Goirtein Bay and Furnace on the Saturday, both dives on Loch Fyne (a much better loch than Loch Long - for diving at least! We take on up to 30 people completely new to diving every year. The training we give will take you to the level of BSAC Sports Diver, a qualification that you can use anywhere in the world to dive up to 35m. It all begins with your Try Dive, at the University swimming pool. LUUSAC dives all over the British Isles and once a year take a club trip abroad for our sport diver trainees. In the summer months club members run various trips that are purely pleasure diving, no training involved! LUUSAC is well stocked with equipment, enabling our divers to carry out a wide range of activities. For basic diving we have enough equipment for 24 divers, consisting of:. 24 Regulators (Apeks ATX40). 28 Cylinders (3 10l, 4 15l and 11 12l). 27 BCD's (Buddy Commando in sizes small, medium and large).
